The Usual Questions:
Do you speak any other languages?
Oui, je parle français.
Did you make all these beads yourself?
Yes, I guarantee each and every bead i sell is made by me and me alone, handcrafted with my own two hands, within the raging flame of my torch, hunched over the worktable of my little studio, with copious amounts of my blood, sweat, burns, cursing, tears… well, you get the general idea.
Do you sell your beads?
Of course! How else could i fund my ongoing glass addiction?
Do you make sets?
Not really. I mostly make one of a kind, large (approx. 1.5″/38mm - 3″/76mm), single focal beads. I really don’t enjoy making the same/similar bead over and over again. That said, I might be inclined to include a couple, small, complementary beads to match your focal - if you ask me nicely (or bribe me with sour candies).
Note: Any sets you see from me (until further notice), you can safely assume were forced out of me due to the guilt inducing, non-negotiable, demands of certain cruel and horribly inconsiderate family members.
How much does one of your beads cost?
Depends. My beads are made one by one, using different materials and techniques - some take more time and/or prep work than others. I don’t set the price until the beads have cooled, come out of the kiln and i can then determine the success and quality of each design.
Generally speaking though, my ready-made beads start at around CAD$25 each and go up from there.
How do i buy one?
Blog- If you see a bead featured on this blog that you’d like, just email me at: evelyn@shebamakeda.com. If it isn’t marked as sold, then it’s probably available.
Ebay - I’ll be listing beads on this auction site starting in 2008. Beads here will most likely be brand new designs or unusual, one-of-a-kind, whimsical, one-offs. Here, the final price will be determined by the bidders.
Etsy- I’m also planning to open an online store on this handmade crafts site. It will most likely feature bead designs i enjoy making enough to create a limited edition, collectible series. Each will have a set price and accommodate a range of budgets.
What’s your refund/exchange policy?
I want you to be happy with your bead. You can review my warranty here:
Do you accept custom orders?
Yes, I do. And since i keep being asked, I’ve created the following page to answer all your questions:
Now, keep in mind I don’t do exact remakes, however, if you see a bead that’s been sold and would like something similar, i can probably do that. Or… if you have a completely different bead in mind, then just email me at evelyn@shebamakeda.com or use the contact form below to start the design process.
And if your design is completely off the wall? even better, i love a challenge.
